Gateshead Council's Arts Development Team
The Arts Team deliver activities for communities through an annual programme of creative workshops, events, performances, education projects, exhibitions, outdoor activities and community festivals. They are located at Gateshead Central Library which has a gallery for professional practicing artists, community spaces for workshops and a performance space.
The Arts Team also work in other locations across Gateshead including parks, community centres and schools. The arts programme has a focus on community engagement and improving wellbeing through creativity.
