Josie Brookes - Freelance artist/creative facilitator

About the artist

Josie is a freelance Illustrator and art facilitator based in Newcastle upon Tyne, North East England, based at Mushroom Works Studios. 

Josie specialises in illustration with a focus on colour experimentation, collage, print making and 'live scribing at events. 

Josie was the Pop up studio Illustrator in Residence for 2019's Northern Festival of Illustration. Josie's published work includes children's books 'The Flower with Feelings' and 'Twinkle Twinkle Arti'. 

With over 19 years experience as a participatory arts practitioner, Josie also works both independently and on behalf of organisations, delivering creative workshops in illustration, print, animation and graphic design to groups of all ages and abilities.
