Work experience and student placements
Working in the creative sector can include a wide range of jobs, from gallery technicians to lighting designers, librarians to education officers, festival producers to event planners. A great way to find out if a creative career path is for you, is to use your work experience week in school or a student placement at university to learn more about the cultural sector and what's involved in a job or team that you'll be shadowing.
