National Trust's Festival of Blossom

Every year at spring time, trees burst into bloom, offering a sense of hope and renewal. For centuries blossom has been celebrated in literature, art and music all around the world and National Trust are encouraging communities to celebrate this time of year with their annual Festival of Blossom.
Gibside Estate is Gateshead's National Trust property and they have a number of family activities to take part in as part of the festival including a Blossom Trail, take a blossom map and explore signs of spring at Gibside from Saturday 5 April - Sunday 1 June.
Communities are also being encouraged to organise their own activities. See the National Trust (opens new window) website for further details. #BlossomWatch
