The Sound Room

At the heart of Gateshead's music community, the Sound Room delivers projects and workshops for people of all ages and backgrounds.  Out workshops enables people to develop new skills and interests whilst sharing their love of music and visual arts with fellow community members and friends. 

Gateshead Youth Music Nights 

The Sound Room works with aspiring young bands and musicians by providing weekly sessions supporting their songwriting and musical development and giving them opportunities to play and learn. Young people who have attended the sessions have improved their musicianship, developed positive relationships and made good progress with social and personal awareness by participating in music and art activities.  These sessions are currently funded by The Sound Room.
